The famous Amalfi Coast is made of 13 small towns perched along the steep cliffs of the peninsula between the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno. Imposing rocky cliffs, creeks and sea caves alternate with small beaches on an always narrow coast, offering splendid views on the blue Tyrrhenian Sea towards Capri Island. This breathtaking scenery hosts white washed picturesque houses connected through narrow roads and stairways and lush gardens. The smells of flowers and lemon mix with the sea breeze. The Amalfi coasts enchants its visitors that come to Ravello, Scala, Atrani, Positano or Amalfi. Each of these towns has its own treasures. A legend tells that the inhabitants of Minori convinced the Pope to give them back the bishopric giving him as a present a basket with lemons and other citruses. Lemons are used for cakes and to make the "limoncello", a traditional yellow liqueur famous all over the world. This tour is a visit of the true heart of Italy: Naples, famous Vesuvius and Pompeii, and the Amalfi coast.

Day 1: Arrival in Naples
Arrival in Naples and transfer to the hotel

Day 2: Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii
Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii (gradient: +650 –650 mt / walk 4h)

Day 3: Mount Tre Calli walk
Mount Tre Calli walk (gradient: +550 -550 mt / walk 4h30)
Acc.: : Dinner and overnight stay at the agriturismo in Agerola.
Day 4: Positano
Positano (gradient: +200 -800 mt / walk 4h)
Today we hike over the “walk of the Gods”, between Agerola and Positano.

Day 5: Ravello
Ravello (gradient: +400 -400 mt/ walk 3h)
Walking tour at Amalfi and a visit of historical industries. Visit of beautyful villas and a very nice walking route.

Day 6: Capri Island
Capri (gradient: +400 -400 mt/ walk 4h)
Trip by ship to the island of Capri and return to Naples in the late afternoon.

Day 7: Amalfi & the “Valle dei Mulini”
Nice walk along the beautiful Amalfi & the “Valle dei Mulini” (gradient: +500 -500 mt/ walk 4h30)

Day 8: Departure
Tour ends in Amalfi after breakfast. You can make your way to Salerno or Naples, either by boat or bus. A taxi transfer can be arranged on request.

Arrival info:

Travel arrangements to Naples are not included in the tour package, in order to give everybody the best chance to plan his/her trip according his preferences. Naples is easily reached by plane or train (e.g. from Rome airport or other cities). Connecting flights to Naples from other Italian cities can be easily booked for you at low additional cost.
