 Time and depth of recent quakes beneath Apoyeque  location of recent quakes at Apoyeque volcano  Current seismic signal (APYN station, INETER) Apoyeque volcano is located only 10 km northwest of the capital Managua which would be directly threatened by a new eruption. INETER and the government issued a green advisory alert. Local volcanologists are planning to travel to the volcano to investigate the earthquakes causes. It is possible that the quakes are related to the magitude-7.6 earthquake that hit neighboring Costa Rica on Wednesday.
