The eruption continues with lava fountaining at the summit that feeds a lava flow now over 100 m long and produces a continuous ash, steam, and gas plume extending downwind from the volcano for 50 to 100 km at an altitude of about 20,000 ft above sea level. This morning the cloud was carried to the southeast. Satellite images show persistent elevated surface temperatures at the summit and on the northwest flank. ...
