Arrival in Denpasar: transfer to Ubud - massage & spa - dance performance
Arrival in Denpasar and transfer to Ubud, the city of traditional crafts and arts and the cultural heart of the island.
In the afternoon you will enjoy a complete traditional Balinese massage and wellness treatment that will make you forget the stress of your trip so far. In the evening, you are invited to assist a traditional dance performance in the Pura Dalem palace.

Ubud town - Gajah Cave - Yeh Pulu - rice fields
This day is dedicated to visit Ubud town with its many painting schools, art galleries, and museums (incl. the Puri Lukisan & Neka and Antonio Blanco museums) and the artist community of Pengosekan.
In the afternoon, you see the mysterious sculptures of the sacred Gajah Cave and the Yeh Pulu site, followed by a walk through beautiful rice terraces with a nice view onto Petanu river.
Sunset in Ubud is a famous spectacle, with the sight and sounds of thousands of birds that come resting onto the trees. The evening is celebrated with a Balinese celebration dinner (included).

Royal graves & hot springs – Pura Ulun Danu temple - Lake Bratan
We take the road to the "Mountains of Poets" and visit the royal tombs at Gunung Kawi and the sacres hot spring of Tirta Empul.
En route towards the village of Bedugul, there is time for a walk through the botanical garden with its century-old trees and the lively and colorful spice market. At Lake Bratan, we stop for a visit of the marvellous temple of Ulun Danu, floating like a dream on the water.
After arriving in Munduk we check in in our charming hotel Puri Lumbung, nicely built along old rice terracces and offering a superb view onto the hills of blooming clove and other fruit trees.
In the evening, a traditional dance spectacle will be performed for you by young dancers from a renowned dance school of the region (Singaraja).

Tramblingan Lake – Puri Pulaki temple – north coast beach
In the morning we take an easy walk through clove and fruit plantations (jackfruit, durian...) and come back to Lake Tramblingan, where we canoe to watch the many birds on its shores.
In the afternoon, we continue our road towards the north coast, visit the Puri Pulaki temple and its uncountable monkeys, before reaching our beautiful seafront hotel in Pemuteran. Free afternoon.

Bali Barat Natl. Park - Menjangan island
Early in the morning we drive to the National Park of Bali Barat, at Labuhanlalang. With a boat we reach Menjangan Island where a colorful and extremely rich world of undersea wonders awaits those who like to go snorkelling or diving...
After returning to the mainland, we take a hike (ca. 2 - 2.5 hrs) in the National Park, famous for its rich bird life, and in particular for one of the rarest birds on earth, the white and blue starling of Bali.

Pura Dalem Jagaraga – Batur volcano caldera
Our trips continues along the north coast to the Pura Dalem Jagaraga temple where episodes of the violent colonisation history of Bali are portraied. We cross the northern mountain range and reach the caldera of the active volcano Batur from a breathtaking viewpoint.
We descend to the bottom of the caldera from where we take a boat trip to take us accross Batur lake to visit the Bali Aga Truyan villlage, famous for its bizarre burial rituals.
We spend the night back on the caldera rim in a nice hotel with great views onto Batur volcano and the lake.

Climb Batur volcano – hot springs – rice fields Bali
Before sunrise, we climb Batur volcano to be on its top at sunrise (ca. 2 hrs climb), famous for the panorama over the lake often covered by mist, wonderful colors of the landscape bathed in golden light of the rising sun.
After sunrise, we tour the 3 active craters and descend back along a different route following recent eruptive fissures and the extensive lava flows from 1963 that destroyed many houses that were never rebuilt.
To relax after returning from the mountain, we go to the hot springs at the lakeshore in Toyabungkah.
Afterwards, we return to the caldera rim and take a very scenic route through the valles of Sidemen,- offering some of the most impressive views onto Bali's famous rice terrasses. En route, we can see the traditional weaving of precious ikats, an amazing weaving technique that the Balinese have perfected.

Pura Besakih temple – Tanganan and Aga villages at Mt. Agung
In the morning, we visit the most sacred of all temples on Bali, Pura Besakih, a complex of 23 temples perched on the flanks of holy mountain Agung, whose last eruption in 1963 caused more than 1000 fatalities, but left the temples untouched... Many religious ceremonies are ongoing at most times at the temples that we can observe.
After this visit, we drive to a little mountain village and start on a beautiful hike to the villages of Tanganan and Aga famous for its music, ikats and other crafts...
In the afternoon, we continue to Candi Dasa.

Tirtagangga and Amlapura – beaches – Nusa Penida Island
This day is dedicated to explore the wonderful region of Tirtagangga and Amlapura with its rarely visited floating royal gardens, take a short hike in a small traditional boat, the salt extraction works, take a bath in the sea and continue to Padangbai beach. From here, a rafting trip takes us to Nusa Penida Island to see its sea caves and sculptured shoreline.

Free day to enjoy Bali's charme, swim, snorkel, relax... In the evening a trip to a temple floating on the Indian Ocean is offered.
