KVERT berichtet, dass seismischer Aktivität bei Besymjanny am 12. Februar erhöht und blieb bis 19 Februar erhöhte. Earthquakes were detected in the vicinity of Bezymianny's lava dome during 23-24 May. Fumarolic activity was seen on 21 May and the temperature of the thermal anomaly detected in satellite imagery increased from 18 degrees Celsius on 19 May to 48.8 degrees Celsius on 23 May. So a increase of activity is possible. During 21-28satellite data showed a thermal anomaly over the lava dome and fumarolic activity was detected.Seismic data indicated that an explosive eruption began on 1 June, producing a large ash cloud about 127 by 93 km in dimension. Ash plumes from two explosions rose to altitudes of 8-10 km (26,200-32,800 ft) a.s.l. Ashfall was reported in Kozyrevsk village. Two bright thermal anomalies were seen in satellite imagery, possibly from pyroclastic flow deposits.

KVERT reports a strong explosive eruption of Bezymianny volcano that occured on May 31 according to seismic data. Ash fall in Kozyrevsk village is continuing. The volcano itself could not be observed. ...

KVERT reports that Bezymiany's activity has been increasing, promting to raise the alert code from Yellow to Orange, which means that a new eruption could happen in the near future. Although the seismic data are blurred by the activity of nearby erupting Klyuchevskoy volcano, Bezymiany is showing an increase in earthquakes as well as an increase in the temperature in its crater, the usual preceding signs of new activity.

A thermal anomaly was reported at Bezymianny's lava dome during 9-14 August and there have been some earthquakes. It is possible that hot pyroclastic avalanches occured. The Level of Concern Color Code remained at Orange. Observations of satellite imagery and information from KEMSD was showing an eruption plume of 7.9 km altitude.

KVERT reported a viscous lava flow erupted from the summit crater of Bezymianny volcano on 9 November. During an overflight on the same day, 4-km-long pyroclastic flow deposits from 5 November were observed on the SE flank. Lava flow-front collapses from older lava flows on the SE flank were also evident. A strong thermal anomaly is present on satellite data. ...
