Auf dem Gipfel der Welt ... Unser Team-Mitglied Ulla Lohmann freut sich, auf dem höchsten Vulkan der Welt zu stehen. Ojos del Salado mit seinen 6893 m ist nicht nur der der höchste Vulkan der Erde, auch der höchste Berg von Chile und der zweithöchste Berg der Welt außerhalb des Himalaya. Der Aufstiegs-Erfolgsquote liegt bei etwa 25%, und Kletterer müssen mit extremen Bedingungen am Gipfel rechnen: Windböen von bis zu 200 km/h, Schneesturm und Temperaturen bis -30°C sind hier keine Seltenheit. Die hochstgelegenste Wueste der Welt, die Puna de Atacama, wo der Vulkan liegt, ist aufgrund der vielen Bergbesteigungen der Inca sehr interessant: Sie haben auf bis zu 6739m Opferplatformen gebaut und Menschen den Goettern geopfert.
