Mount Bromo Vulkan in Ost Java ist der aktive Kegel innerhalb der riesigen Tengger Caldera, einer der Indonesiens malerischsten Orten Bestimmungsort in Ost-Java, berühmt für seine fantastischen Sonnenaufgang Ansichten und das Panorama über die Caldera mit Semeru Vulkan im Hintergrund.

Beschreibung:

Die 16 km Breite Tengger Caldera befindet sich am nördlichen Ende der eine vulkanische Massiv von Semeru Vulkan. Der massive vulkanische Tengger-Komplex stammt aus dem vor etwa 820.000 Jahren und besteht aus fünf überlappende Stratovulkane, jeweils gekürzt, indem eine Caldera. Vulkankegeln, pyroklastischen Kegeln und ein Maar besetzen die Flanken des Massivs. Ngadisari NE Ende des Komplexes vor etwa 150.000 Jahren gebildet und wird jetzt durch das Sapikerep Tal entwässert. Das jüngste der Tengger Calderas ist 9 x 10 km Breite Sandsea Caldera SW Ende des Komplexes, die inkrementell während der späten Pleistozän und frühen Holozän bildeten. Ein überlappender Cluster post-caldera Zaepfchen entstand auf dem Boden der Kaldera Sandsea innerhalb der letzten mehrere tausend Jahre. Die jüngste dieser Bromo, häufig besucht eine der aktivsten und die meisten Java Vulkane.
