Es scheint, dass ein kleiner Ausbruch der u-Boot-7 km südlich von der Küste von El Hierro Insel auf den Kanarischen Inseln in einer Tiefe von 1200 m unter dem Meeresspiegel, im Meer Las Calmas gestartet wurde. Die Eruption, abgeleitet von starken Zittern, aufgezeichnet von Istituto Geográfico nationalen (IGN), begann um 10.43 Ortszeit (09:43 UTC).

The likelihood of a new submarine eruption in the near future is increasing. Earthquakes and pulsating strong tremor continued with little changes, and a trend towards stronger quakes (a magnitude 4 event this morning), and shallower quakes as well (many at around 11-12 km depth today).
