On most tours, there will be a mix of accommodation. In some places, a simple mountain hut will be the only choice available, while in others, choice between economic camping or guesthouses with shared facilities or luxurious hotel accommodation is available. Thus, some tours can be offered at different accommodation levels.
Accommodation and board definitions:
Farm: Usually a restored, no longer used farmhouse, with sleeping bag accommodation or made-up beds in separate rooms. Guest House: Separate rooms with made-up beds for one or two people, usually equipped with a washing basin, but with bathroom facilities located in the same hall and shared by other guests. Hostel: Separate rooms with sleeping bag accommodation for two or more people, usually equipped with a washing basin, but with shared bathroom facilities in the same hall. Hotel: Separate rooms for one or two people with ready made beds and en suite bathroom. Lodge: Usually a wooden house for 5 - 10 people with separate bedrooms for made-up beds or sleeping bag accommodation, and a little livingroom and bathroom. Hostel: Separate rooms with sleeping bag accommodation for two or more people, normally equipped with a wash-basin, but with bathroom facilities close by. Mountain Hut: Usually a wooden cabin for sleeping bag accommodation. All guests share one room. Full Board: Breakfast, lunch, dinner and normally an evening coffee every day of the tour. Half Board: Breakfast and dinner every day of the tour.
