Mount Marapi volcano in West Sumatra had new ash emissions today, a local newspaper reported. "Smoke" (=volcanic ash) was seen being emitted from the summit crater between 8-9 am local time this morning and produced a plume rising about 300 m. ...mehr

A small ash eruption was reported from Marapi volcano in West Sumatra near the cities of Bukittinggi, Padang Panjang and Batusangkar at 07:15 local time on 18 May. The eruption lasted about 10 minutes, and produced an ash plume that rose 600 m.

Mount Marapi in West-Sumatra weiterhin Asche-Explosionen in der vergangenen Woche zu produzieren. Laut lokalen News, ein paar schwache Explosionen am Mittwoch folgten eine Eruption am Sonntagmorgen produziert eine Asche Spalte ca. 1 km hoch, die ca. 10 km nach Süden.
