Beschreibung:The Quetrupillan stratovolcano is in the center of a group of 3 volcanoes on a traverse fault to the Andean chain. Quetrupillan's lavas contain more silica than its more active neighbors Villarrica and Lanín.The basaltic scoria cone Huililco lies 12 km NE of Quetrupillan, a rhyolitic lava dome lies on the south flank of the caldera, and the Volcanes de Reyehueico produced basaltic-andesite lava flows 15 km south of the summit caldera.
