Ol Doinyo Lengai - sicherlich eine der faszinierendsten Vulkane der Welt, ist in der Tat einzigartig, da es die einzige bekannte aktiver Vulkan ist, der Natrocarbonatite Lava ausbricht. Eine perfekte Kegel, fast 3000m hohen, dieser beeindruckenden Gipfel durch die Maassai "Mountain of God" aufgerufen wird.
Obwohl derzeit es keine Natrocarbonatite Lava Eruptionen scheint zu beobachten, bleibt Lengai eine geheimnisvolle und faszinierende Vulkan einen Besuch Wert. An der Stelle des ehemaligen Hornitos hat ein große Asche Kegel gebildet, die spektakuläre Asche Eruptionen von mild bis hin zu extrem gewalttätigen produziert hat. In Phasen mit geringer Aktivität ist es immer noch möglich, den Gipfel des Lengai close-up Besuch zu klettern.

Tag 1:
Transfer to Lake Natron & climbing Ol Doinyo Lengai at nightTransfer to base camp in the early morning. It takes about 6 hours to get there. After an afternoon and evening of relaxation and preparation it’s time to start climbing Ol Doinyo Lengai at midnight. While porters carry the luggage, the equipment and our water we silently ascend under a starry night. At sunrise the view from the mountain is breathtaking. The “living summit” will probably catch your attention right away, not to let it loose for the next three days… Ü: campsite near Lake Natron (B, L, D)
Tag 2-3:
Two full days to enjoy the activity at very close rangeTwo full days to explore the summit region of this volcano. There is a good chance we see and hear some activity, even though its former natrocarbonatite activity is probably now no longer visible.

Note:
Since its eruptions in 2007-2008, the previous configuration of the active north crater with the natrocarbonatite-spitting hornitos does no longer exist and has been replaced by an impressive ash cone that has produced violent and spectacular ash eruptions. If activity is not too intense, observing this new crater would be a rewarding experience, but entering the north crater itself or climbing the ash cone is high risk due to the danger of the (expected) collapse of the north crater,- even at times when its activity itself is low. Comfortable break (2 nights) near Lake NatronDescend from Lengai (2-4 hrs), return to campsite at Lake Natron. 1 1/2 days to explore the area: Lake Natron (Flamingoes!), hike to a waterfall in a deep gorge, visit a Maassai village etc. Ü: comfortable campsite of Lake Natron (B, L, D)

Lake Manyara game driveDrive to Mtowa Mbu. Game viewing in Lake Manyara National Park with picnic lunches. Ü: guesthouse or lodge at Lake Manyara Natl. Park (B, L, D)

Anreise:Die Tour beginnt und endet in Arusha, eine freundliche, mittelgroße Stadt, die die wichtigsten starten ist Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Sie können die Wanderung zum Lengai leicht mit anderen Aktivitäten kombinieren (siehe Programme). Um nach Tansania, bequeme Flughäfen fliegen sind:-Kilimanjaro International (30 Meilen oder 1-1,5 h Kleinbus Fahrt nach Arusha)-Nairobi (5 Stunden Fahrt Kleinbus nach Arusha, schließt eine einfache Grenzübergang und eine zusätzliche Nacht in Nairobi auf der Rückreise) - Dar-es-Salaam (9 Stunden bus Fahrt nach Arusha oder Inlandsflug Kilimanjaro International Air Tanzania).
Auf Wunsch werden wir Ihnen gerne mit Ihren individuellen Reisearrangements, Transfers und gegebenenfalls Unterkunft in Nairobi z.B.; je nach Ihrem Abflughafen bieten wir Flug für Sie zu sehr günstigen Preisen zu finden. Bitte kontaktieren Sie uns!
Unterkunft:Unterkunft basiert auf doppelte Zimmer oder Zelt Belegung von gleichen Geschlechts geteilt (es sei denn, dies kein Problem ist oder beantragt).
• Camping am Natronsee: eine komfortable gut ausgestatteten Campingplatz mit frischem Leitungswasser, eine Bar, grundlegende WC-Anlagen, aber Suplebly gelegen und gut geführt.
• Camping auf Lengai Vulkan (1-3 Tage): auf Ol Doinyo Lengai wir bleiben in der inaktiv, bewachsen nördliche Krater neben den aktiven südliche Krater (10-15 min. zu Fuß). Grundlegende camping ist die einzige Option hier, aber wir haben unsere eigenen geräumigen, modernen Mountain Zelte (aber natürlich, keine Dusche und Toilette Zelt verfügbar...)
• Unterkunft in Arusha: Ihrer Wahl, aber wir empfehlen l ' Oasis Lodge, ein komfortables kleines Hotel mit saubere, geräumige Zimmer, einen Swimming Pool, ein ausgezeichnetes Restaurant und modernen Einrichtungen in der Nähe der Innenstadt
