Although further decreasing, ash and lava emissions are still continuing from the new fissure vents at the E base of SE cone.
After last week's intense series of larger ash eruptions, such as on 10 May, Tunguarahua seems to be quieting down and has not registered any major explosions since May 11.

Batu Tara continues to be active and erupt small ash plumes.
Avachinsky volcano is getting active, producing ash eruptions. An ash plume was observed rising to an altitude of 4.3 km (14,000ft) a.s.l. on 10 May. ...mehr
Lava and ash emissions continue although at very low levels. The violent fissure eruption that started on May 13 from an originally 600 m long east-trending fissure parting from the NE base of the SE crater at around 2900 m elevation decreased surprisingly quickly in intensity. It seems to be coming to a soon end, although a weak emission of lava continues at present. ...mehr [alles lesen]

Chaitén volcano continues to erupt strong ash plumes although none during the past weeks reached the intensity of the large explosion on May 2nd. Based on observations of satellite imagery, SIGMET reports, and pilot reports, the Buenos Aires VAAC reported that during 7-13 May ash plumes from Chaitén were continuously present and during 7-9 May rose to altitudes of 6.1-10.1 km (20,000-33,000 ft) a.s.l. The plumes drifted E and NE. ...mehr [alles lesen]

From field observations by Rosario, the beginning of a large new eruption at Etna is confirmed. Following the intense tremor, a fissure has opened NE of the SE crater, about 800m long, and erupting from about 15 vents with spectacular bubbles and hawaiian lava fountains. The lava is very fluid and forms impressive flows into the Valle del Bove. ...mehr
