Mayon volcano started to erupt again on Dec 14. Ein neuer Ausbruch begann am Piton de la Fournaise Vulkan um 18.30 Uhr Ortszeit am 14. Dezember. Nach einer seismischen Krise dauert ca. 1 Stunde, einen neuen Lüfter auf der S Flanke Dolomieu Krater und produziert Lavaströme in den enclos eröffnet. Später am Abend eröffnete eine zweite Fissur östlich der ersten vent. Update 15. Dezember: Dieser Ausbruch endete in der Nacht auf 00h40 (GMT 4) nach einem allmählichen Rückgang der Magma Versorgung von Mitternacht (Ortszeit). Heute Morgen, Dienstag, 15. Dezember 2009, ein sichtbares Entgasung im Süden und Südosten Frakturen ist verbunden mit einer geringen Intensität eruptive Tremor. At 1:58 AM on 11 Nov, an ash explosion occurred at the summit crater of Mayon Volcano. The event was not well observed as the summit was in clouds, but recorded on seismographs and iincandescent rock fragments were seen at the upper slope of the steep stratovolcano. Ashfall drifted towards the Southwest quadrant of the volcano due to the prevailing Northeast monsoon. [alles lesen]

Eine starke Explosion fand in Stromboli, wie Sonja Calvari aus INGV Catania Berichte an den Vulkan-Liste. Hier ist der ursprüngliche Bericht:
"Stromboli am 8. November produziert eine große Explosion aus den Öffnungen im zentralen Krater Zone, Fragmentierung und Ausblasen Teil der Ostflanke des Schlackenkegel. Die Explosion erzeugte eine eruptive Spalte mehr als 350 m hoch, dass SE driftete durch den war Wind. Die Explosion wurde bald von einem Lavastrom folgte brach aus der erweitert zentralen Schlot. Der Lavastrom in den Krater Depression für ein paar Minuten zu verbreiten, und erreicht die maximale geschätzte Länge von ca. 60 m. Lavastrom in den Krater gebildet Depression auch zwischen 22 und 25 April, am 3. Mai und am 30 August 2009. Nach dem 8 November Explosion, kehrten die explosive Aktivität in den Hintergrund Ebenen. It seems that the activity reported from 6 November was not strombolian activity but rather the formation of a new collapse pit on the E flank of SE crater, explosing hot gasses and rocks that produced the glow visible on the webcams. Bad weather conditions have hampered inspections on site, but eruptive tremor is absent. However, Etna volcano could erupt any time as measurements indicate that the magma level inside the conduits is high. [alles lesen]

Sarychev volcano erupted violently starting 11 June 2009 until mid-end of June, producing a series of sub-plinian eruptions sending large gas and ash plumes to 10-14 km elevation, which drifted westward across the northern hemisphere. The most powerful eruptions occurred between June 11-16.
