strontian / MMI II (Very weak shaking): I felt the vibrations slightly and the sound was quite loud.I had no idea what it was, I ran into the kitchen thinking it was my washing machine having a bad day. I only found out today that it was a wee quake.
Roshven / MMI IV (Light shaking): On week end break at Roshven near Acharacle. We witnessed very loud noise, glasses in cupboard shaking, sofa vibrating. Scary experience as we were not sure what was causing this. All lasted just a few seconds.
Strontian, PH36 4HZ / MMI IV (Light shaking): Felt like being in an Underground station as train pulls in
Polloch / MMI VI (Strong shaking):
Shieldfoot / MMI IX (Violent shaking): I was in the garden talking when there was a deep rumble and a vibration underfoot lasting 2 or 3 seconds. My wife was indoors and thought something had hit the house
Strontian / MMI IV (Light shaking): Loud bang and shudder, no shaking.
Lochailort / MMI VII (Very strong shaking): Loud boom - similar to extreme thunder clap and simultaneously with short stron shake lasting no more than a couple of seconds

Badachro / MMI IV (Light shaking): Standing in sitting room talking on phone to neighbour and both thought there had been an explosion somewhere and looked out windows then realised it must have been a tremor.
North Erradale IV21 2DS / MMI VI (Strong shaking): Like a sudden boom and with it the house moved. Thought there had been an explosion or something odd at sea. Nothing visible, then surmised earthquake.
