Shillong (India) (454 km NW from epicenter): Mild tremors that lasted for about one second. (via EMSC)
NIT Silchar, Assam / MMI IV (Light shaking): I was lying in the bed at 2nd floor, when suddenly at around 10:30 pm (Indian Time) I felt that my bed and room was shaking. I felt it for about 45-50 sec. I though it must be an earth quake. I then searched the internet in night, but could not get any information in night.
But in the morning I can see from net that, yes it was a big earth quake in Monywa, Burma, which is near to Silchar, ASSAM.

It did not last very long but I did feel the shaking.
