Introduction:First of all, we’d like to emphasize that this is an expedition. Papua New Guinea is not an easy country to travel to- either very, very expensive or simply not possible. « Expect the unexpected » is the slogan of Papua New Guinea. Therefore, be prepared that this is not a commercially organized travel, but a real adventure:
We have the unique opportunity live with a tribe, which has never opened up to a group of travellers. They will share with us their tradition of mummification of their deceased. Also, you’ll camp on the slopes of the active Tavurvur volcano.
You’ll benefit from Ulla's experience, gained in over 15 voyages to PNG since 2001: "I am excited to share one of my favourite places on earth, with its amazing people, weird rituals, breathtaking jungles, sheer mountain cliffs and explosive volcanoes with you!"
