Jordan Craters is known for its excellent exposures of a wide variety of lava flow features similar to Idaho's Snake River Plain to the east. Introduction:Jordan Craters volcanic field is the youngest and northernmost of a group of 3 lava fields. The other two older fields are comprise the 1473-m-high Clarks Butte shield volcano and Rocky Butte (Lava Butte) lava fields lie to the south. They follow the trend of regional faults. |
