The extended (7-day) Marangu route is certainly one of the best routes up Kilimanjaro. Compared to the standard 5 day / 4 nights route you have two extra days for acclimatization and a very interesting detour to the base of Mawenzi with its towering rock spires, which reach to 16,890 ft. (5,150 m). -->Highly recommended!
