Eruptions du volcan Narage: more than 10,000 years ago Although the volcano may be extinct, there is vigorous hydrothermal activity. Narage has hot springs and geysers, mainly on its SE and SW coasts. In 1863, a geyser shooting 45 m high was observed at a sandbank 8 km offshore. Narage island is circled by a reef at a distance of 200-400 m. |
