Pyroclastic flow at Sinabung volcano today at 12:22
Activity has remained essentially unchanged. Effusion of viscous lava continues at slow pace to feed the lava dome with two active lobes on the SE and E upper flanks. At 12:22 local time today, a small part of the eastern lobe collapsed into a medium-sized pyroclastic flow that traveled approx. 2.5 km towards the outskirts of the (already evacuated and destroyed) villages of Bekerah and Simacem. ...lebih [membaca semua]

Activity at the volcano has been comparably low. On average, 2-3 smaller pyroclastic flows per day have been occurring, our expedition leader Andi who is currently at Sinabung reported.
Sun, 5 Jul 2015, 11:57
Over the past days, pyroclastic flows have been weaker and less frequent, but the slow extrusion of lava at the summit continues with little change. The volcano remains at highest alert.
Sun, 28 Jun 2015, 11:49
Activity remains intense. The volcano continues to extrude viscous lava that regularly generates glowing avalanches and pyroclastic flows. Associated ash plumes have been rising several kilometers. The volcano remains at highest alert level (4 out of 4). ...lebih [membaca semua]
