On this tour, we visit 3 very interesting volcanoes and meet the people living around them: Welirang, Bromo and Ijen. Less is more on this trip: we concentrate our stops on a small number of very unusual volcanoes and limit transportation time to a strict minimum. A professional photographer from our team will accompany you on this trip and help you find the best locations and opportunities in taking photo / video.

8-days itinerary

Day 1: Fahrt zum Bergdorf Tretes
Man wird in Surabaya abgeholt (in der Regel am Flughafen oder Bahnhof) und fährt zum schönen Berg-Dorf Tretes</ b>, wo man in einem komfortablen Hotel übernachtet. Den Rest des Tages hat man Zeit zur Erholung oder um sich die Umgebung anzusehen. Gruppenessen am Abend.

Day 2: Schlammvulkan Sidoarjo, Aufstieg zum Welirang
Besuch der spektakulären Schlamm-Katastrophe Sidoarjo und später Aufstieg zum Welirang auf 2700 m Höhe

Day 3: Gipfelregion des Welirang-Vulkans
Voller Tag zur Erkundung der Gipfelregion des Welirang mit zahlreichen Fumarolen und Bergbau. Tolle Aussichten.

Day 4: Sonnenaufgang am Welirang, Aufstieg zum Arjuno
Sonnenaufgang am Welirang-Gipfel und Aufstieg zum Arjuno-Gipfel. Abstieg durch den Regenwald. Anschließend Erholung in warmen Bädern und Erholung im komfortablen Hotel.

Day 5: Transfer to the Bromo caldera along a spectacular route, Bromo volcano
Scenic ride in open jeeps into the wild Tengger massiv, corss the bottom of the caldera and land on the rim overlooking Bromo volcano. Afternoon option for an easy hike to Bromo crater.

Day 6: Sunrise from the Tengger caldera – transfer to Ijen
Jeep excursion to watach sunrise from the famous viewpoint overlooking the Bromo-Tengger caldera. Transfer to the Ijen massiv.

Day 7: Kawah Ijen volcano - transfer to Bali
Climb and visit of Ijen's crater, descend to the sulphur mining area and the turquoise acid crater lake. In the afternoon transfer to Bali.

Day 8: Transfer zum Flughafen / Verlängerungsmöglichkeit
Transfer zum Flughafen Denpasar oder Verlängerungsmöglichkeit.

Arrival info:

The tour starts in Surabaya and ends on Bali. We can provide you with cheap connecting flight tickets from anywhere in Indonesia (usually Jakarta or Denpasar), and arrange pick-up and transfers.

Accommodation:

The hotels and guesthouses during this trip are beautiful and friendly hotels of good Indonesian standards and have been chosen in priority of cleanliness, overall atmosphere and optimum location. 2 nights are spent in tents with only improvised washing facilities. (For details see program).
