Pyroclastic flow at Sinabung volcano this morning
A series of pyroclastic flows yesterday noon (see previous post) and this morning destroyed a part of the eastern lava lobe. ...meer [Lees alle]

Pyroclastic flow at Sinabung volcano today at 12:22
Activity has remained essentially unchanged. Effusion of viscous lava continues at slow pace to feed the lava dome with two active lobes on the SE and E upper flanks. At 12:22 local time today, a small part of the eastern lobe collapsed into a medium-sized pyroclastic flow that traveled approx. 2.5 km towards the outskirts of the (already evacuated and destroyed) villages of Bekerah and Simacem. ...meer [Lees alle]

Incandescence from the two lava lobes of Sinabung and a rockfall at night (25 July)
During the past 2,3 days, the volcano has been relatively calm and not produced pyroclastic flows, only small rockfalls from two lava lobes, a smaller and a much larger one, overspilling to the SE and ENE, respectively ...meer

Ash plume from Sinabung's pyroclastic flow yesterday morning (photo: Mbah Lëwå / facebook)
A moderately large pyroclastic flow occurred yesterday morning, reaching 3 km length on the SE side and producing a 1.5 km ash plume.

The volcano continues to slowly effuse viscous lava which feeds the lava dome on its summit. This activity results in numerous avalanches and pyroclastic flows. ...meer [Lees alle]

Activity at the volcano has been comparably low. On average, 2-3 smaller pyroclastic flows per day have been occurring, our expedition leader Andi who is currently at Sinabung reported.
Sun, 5 Jul 2015, 11:57
Over the past days, pyroclastic flows have been weaker and less frequent, but the slow extrusion of lava at the summit continues with little change. The volcano remains at highest alert.
Sun, 28 Jun 2015, 11:49
Activity remains intense. The volcano continues to extrude viscous lava that regularly generates glowing avalanches and pyroclastic flows. Associated ash plumes have been rising several kilometers. The volcano remains at highest alert level (4 out of 4). ...meer [Lees alle]

Pyroclastic flow at Sinabung 22 June 2015 evening (photo: Mbah Lëwå / facebook)
A series of larger pyroclastic flows occurred yesterday, reaching lengths of up to 4.5 km and producing ash plumes that rose up to approx. 4 km. ...meer
Mon, 22 Jun 2015, 17:11
The eruption continues with little changes. The summit lava dome and the lava lobe continue to grow slowly and produce regularly small to medium-sized pyroclastic flows as the material collapses into avalanches. Run-out lengths have been reaching up to approx. 3 km. ...meer
