Spattering from the East vent in Pu'u 'O'o crater (July 2007)

Spattering from a vent feeding the eastern lava lake. The vent corresponds to the former East Pond vent in Pu'u O'o. During the time the photos were taken, the hornito above the vent collapsed, allowing a view onto the boiling lava.
