 Seismic signal from RETU station (IG) late on 8 Aug  Current seismic signal IG notes that so called long period (LP) events are on the increase and describes the seismic activity level as moderate. On the current seismogram, a phase of intense activity and tremor can be seen between 18 and 20:30 local time last night.

Tungurahua has moderate seismic activity with a weak tremor signal. A small emission was registered at 01:59 local time yesterday. Mostly the volcano is covered in clouds.

Seismic data suggest a phase of increased activity occurred at Tungurahua volcano in Ecuador on 29 July, but there are no recent reports of new ash emissions. At the moment, the seismicity is rather calm.
