Tungurahua continues to produce loud explosions and moderately strong ash venting which cause ashfall on surrounding communities. Tremor is high and seems to be rising. Ash is rising to an elevation of 20,000 ft (6 km) and a SO2 plume is visible drifting west from the volcano.
