On June 21 the new volcanological museum of Nisyros was opened at the village Nikia. The rich exhibition shows all volcanological phenomena and many rock samples. Many photographs of active volcanoes are provided by VolcanoDiscovery (by Dr. Tom Pfeiffer). At the celebration the most important politicians of the region took part at the opening ceremony. We have now developed a new exciting program to get to know this wonderful mountain in a series of moderate to challenging hikes, including a full traverse of the mountain.
