Gaua volcano (Vanuatu), activity update: low activity

Activity at Gaua volcano on Vanuatu remains low. The Vanuatu Meteorological and Geohazards Department reports that the volcano is now emitting less gas, and vegetation near the vent and in the direction of the trade winds on the western side of the island which were burnt by acid rains are now growing again.
