Sporadic strombolian eruptions continue from the New SE crater of Etna, but - in contrast to previous such episodes - no new paroxysm has yet occurred. The volcanic tremor shows a slightly increasing trend with more fluctuations than normally.

New strombolian activity from the New SE crater has been observed from webcams, together with a fluctuating, but overall slightly rising tremor signal in the past hours. Whether this is the start of a new paroxysmal eruption will probably be clearer during the next hours or tomorrow.
