Africa is a vast continent with a myriad of facettes, has some of the most remarkable enviornments of the planet. It also hosts spectacular volcanoes. Most of them are located along the giant Rift Valley where titanic forces in the earth's mantle are pulling East Africa away from the continent and create voluminous volcanic activity:
 In Tanzania, Mt. Kilimanjaro, the Ngorongoro Highland craters, and the exotic natrocarbonatite volcano Lengai, just to mention a few. On the western branch of the Rift, there are legendary Nyiragongo and Nyalmuragira volcanoes,- two of the most active and dangerous volcanoes in the world. The latest addition to our expeditions are Erta Ale and Dallol volcanoes in the Danakil depression in Ethiopia, famous for its salt lakes and the century-old tradition of salt trade.
