The volcanic peninsula of Methana is located aprox. 45 km SW of Athens and Piraeus. It is a part of the E Peloponnese peninsula and one of the most impressing landscapes. Most part of Methana is composed by at least 32 volcanic domes, and it offers some truely spectacular geologic features to be visited.
Methana is very green and there are some old forests, where you can find a number of rare animals and plants such as orchids. Tobias Schorr, your guide on Methana, is THE expert here: he has been living on Methana for about 10 years and knows the area as his pockets.
