The small volcanic island of Nisyros is one of the most fascinating of Greece. Formed entirely by young volcanic rocks, it is green, lush and not overcrowded by tourism. For the visitor willing to stroll it on its many century-old trails, there is a wealth of things to discover: spectacular evidence of young volcanic activity, Ancient ruins, endemic plants and animals. and you'll still find true Greek hospitality.
The tour can also be booked without the ferry from / to Athens and thus would be ideal if you combine it with a beach holiday e.g. on neighboring Kos island.

About this tour:

The islands of Kos and Nisyros are part of one of the largest volcanic calderas in Europe, created during massive eruptions about 140.000 years ago. The active center of this caldera are the islands of Strongyle, Yali and Nisyros.
Your tour guide Tobias Schorr has extensive, first-hand knowledge and competence of Nisyros and is good friend with many of its inhabitants. On this tour, you'll discover a green island and a hearty side of Greece, both still unspoiled by mass tourism as elsewhere.
