 Sequence of an eruption from the NE crater (the one to the "left"), showing the purple-colored gas jet (combustion of hydrogene and methane?) that typically occurred just moments before incandescent lava itself was thrown out in very powerful fountains, sometimes lasting 10-20 seconds. (28 June) |
