Single room accommodation:
The supplement for single room (or single tent) occupancy is 400 EUR. However, in some few cases (max 3), a single room might not be available and you should be prepared to share a room with a member of the group.
If you are willing to share accommodation with another group member during the whole trip and if we can locate another person of the same sex, no supplement is needed. If however, no other client willing to share a room can be located, the single room supplement is split in half, i.e. you only need to pay 200,- EUR extra for the single room.
SPECIAL OFFER:
For returning customers of VOLCANO DISCOVERY, 5% discount on the final tour price is given. For booking parties of more than 4 people together, (additional) 5% discount is given.
Ausrüstung:
Good walking boots, sun, wind and rain protection, a day-backpack, light and comfortable dressing, at least two good layers of warm clothing and one for wind protection for the ascents and camp nights at high altitude (strong wind possible and temperatures around freezing point), swimming suit, flashlight (torch), mosquito repellant, personal documents.
Visum:
Required. For a number of nationalities, a 30-d tourist Visum can be issued upon arrival. More info can be given on request, but it is strongly recommended that you check the latest situation with your foreign ministry or the nearest Indonesian embassy.
Impfungen:
None required, but it is strongly recommended to have some of the most basic immunisations for tropical countries like against yellow fever, hepatitis A (B if possible), tetanus.
Körperliche Anforderungen:
(Although not extreme, this tour is challenging, in parts strenuous - only suitable for peole in good to excellent physical condition and experience in hiking (walks on partly difficult terrain with steep passages on loose or rocky ground, total hiking walking time up to 8-10 hours, max. horizontal distances up to ca. 15 km, max. climbing during a day: 1000-1500m). Volcanoes, Beaches, and Adventure

At the heart of trekking tour for a small group are 3 treks to some of Indonesia's most fascinating volcanoes: Merapi, Welirang and Semeru. With its unusual itinerary, the trip is guaranteed to be a adventure for all who love volcanoes and dramatic landscapes. Cultural and other highlights along the way, some of them rarely visited, are not forgotten.
Our journey leads us through a great variety of landscapes: rainforests, boiling geysers, hot thermal springs, visit impressive temples, a large cave, and of course more volcanoes, such as Bromo or the infamous Ijen with its acid lake. Lively cities, colorful markets, as well as a relaxing day on a wonderful beach are along the program. Last but not least, an almost infinity of possibilies of encounters with Indonesian people, the country's delicious cuisine, lots of fun and good company will round out the trip. |

Afternoon to relax. | | Day 16 | Spare / free day to relax. Optional visit of Bromo's crater at sunset. | | Day 17 | Jeep excursion to a spectacular viewpoint of Bromo and Semeru, transfer to the Ijen Plateau, hot natural bath. | | Day 18 | Climb of Ijen volcano, visit of the crater, the sulphur deposits, mining sites and the acid crater lake.
