A basalt dredge sample Ar-Ar dated by Koppers et al. (2004) was 1.110 +/- 0.055 Ma. This seamount is about 90 km NW of Lonsdale Seamount and 400 km N of the Hollister Ridge 1991 acoustic signal location. It is near the extreme eastern end of the Louisville Seamount Chain where it intersects the Pacific–Antarctic Ridge, near where some models locate the Louisville hotspot (Vlastelic and Dosso, 2005).---
