Antillanca volcano (Central Chile and Argentina): weekly volcanic activity report 11-17 Mar 2020

The seismic station records volcano-tectonic earthquakes ˂b˃since August 2019˂/b˃ located about 20,670 ft (6,300 m) NE of the volcano.
˂b˃During 31 Jan-1 Feb˂/b˃ were recorded 131 volcano-tectonic events located W and NW.
On ˂b˃9 March˂/b˃ were recorded the largest earthquakes with magnitude M 3.1 and M 3.2 and 73 seismic swarms located 2.4 km N and NW with magnitude M 1.8.

On 11 March SERNAGEOMIN raised the Alert Level for the Antillanca Volcanic Complex to Yellow because of increased seismicity near Casablanca stratovolcano. Volcano-tectonic (VT) earthquakes began to be recorded in August 2019 and were located about 6.3 km NE of the stratovolcano.
