Aso volcano (central Kyushu, Japan): activity resumes; occuring gas plumes
The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that explosive activity from the active crater with near-constant grey-white plumes rose 3,280 ft (1,000 m) above the summit crater.

The seismic station records low internal tremor. The number of volcano-tectonic earthquakes continues at high levels.
The volcano has a large amount of volcanic gas (sulfur dioxide).
The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows could affect an area of about 1 km distance from the crater.
