Azuma volcano (Honshu, Japan): sulfur dioxide burning

Sulfur dioxide burning at Azuma volcano (image: JMA)
The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that surveillance cameras observed during 22 Jul at 20:00 local time and 23 July at 15:30 local time a burning of sulfur dioxide (SO2) around Oana crater.
This phenomenon was observed for the first time in November 2011.
