Ash emissions occurred from the volcano yesterday, suggesting ongoing mild explosive activity. VAAC Darwin reported a low-level plume extending 50 km northwest from Bagana.

A small ash plume was reported yesterday from the volcano (VAAC Darwin). A moderate thermal anomaly from the crater remains visible on satellite data. This suggests mild ongoing effusive and/or explosive activity.
