Batu Tara volcano (Sunda Islands, Indonesia) activity update

VAAC Darwin spotted an ash plume at 7,000 ft (2.1 km) drifting 80 km west from the volcano this morning.
Reports from Batu Tara have become more frequent, recently, suggesting that activity is intense. During our upcoming expedition to the island
from 21-28 Nov, we will find out.

Intense strombolian activity continues at the volcano. A volcanic ash plume at estimated 5,000 ft (1.5 km) altitude was observed extending 80 km to the west of the volcano this morning. (VAAC Darwin)

Current activity of Bardarbunga volcano, Iceland
: An intense seismic crisis started at Bárdarbunga volcano on 16 August 2014 and is continuing at the time of writing (23 Aug). It may or may not lead to a volcanic eruption, possibly under the Vatnajökull ice cap.
