Bezymianny volcano eruption news and activity updates:
Sun, 13 Oct 2013, 06:53
The nearby strong eruption of nearby Klyuchevskoy volcano obscures any seismic signal from Bezymianny, but according to KVERT, the lava dome remains active.
Tue, 1 Oct 2013, 07:37
The strong seismic activity of nearby Klyuchevskoy volcano obscured the seismicity of Bezymianny, which likely remains active with slow extrusion of its lava dome. Video data showed a moderate gas-steam activity of the volcano (KVERT).
Fri, 6 Sep 2013, 13:26
Weak effusive activity continues, evidenced by steaming/degassing and a thermal anomaly at the lava dome visible on satellite data. KVERT has no seismic data, because the ongoing eruption at nearby Klyuchevskoy obscures the seismic activity from Bezymianny.
Mon, 10 Jun 2013, 14:34
No changes in activity have been reported recently. The volcano remains at Aviation Color Code YELLOW, because its lava dome is likely still active. KVERT is unable to distinguish seismic data from Bezymianny from the strong signals from erupting Tolbachik.
Sun, 10 Mar 2013, 13:18
The strong seismic activity from Tolbachik obscures the seismicity of Bezymianny, but a thermal anomaly at the summit remains visible on satellite data and suggests that the lava dome continues to grow as well.
Fri, 1 Mar 2013, 17:32
A viscous lava flow continues to be active on the lava dome flank. Weak and moderate gas-steam activity accompany this process.
Bezymianny volcano (Central Kamchatka Depression, Kamchatka) activity update: slow lava flow extrusion from dome
Fri, 11 Jan 2013, 09:18
Effusion of a viscous lava flow on the lava dome flank continues. The strong seismicity at Tolbachinsky Dol obscured seismicity of Bezymianny. Satellite data shows a thermal anomaly over the volcano on January 03-07. (KVERT)
