Very weak activity continues at the volcano. During the past week, KVERT registered shallow earthquakes. Video data captured minor gas-and-steam plumes rising from the volcano.

KVERT raised the alert level of the volcano to orange because increased seismic activity has been detected recently. The last major eruption of the volcano was an explosion on 1 Sep 2012. ...more

KVERT reports "no detectable seismicity. Moderate gas-steam activity was observed. Satellite data showed the volcano was quiet."

Weak seismic activity of the volcano continues. According to video data, a moderate gas-steam activity was observed. Satellite data showed a weak thermal anomaly over the volcano (KVERT daily reports).
