Bogoslof volcano (Aleutian Islands): two explosive eruptions on 4 July, ash to 32,000 ft

Two significant explosive eruptions occurred at the volcano yesterday afternoon / evening: the first at 16:51 local time (00:51 July 5 UTC), followed by another one at 19:07 AKDT (03:07).
Ash plumes from the explosions reached up to 32,000 ft (10 km) altitude and drifted southeast. The Aviation Color Code/Alert Level of Bogoslof was raised to RED/WARNING.
