Nevados de Chillán volcano (Chile): explosive activity continues

Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Buenos Aires recorded explosive activity from the active crater with near-constant ash emissions that reached 12,000 ft (3,700 m) altitude. Volcanic ash is dispersed towards the southeast and causes ash fall on the volcano's slopes.

The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows could affect a Pinto, Coihueco and San Fabiánarea area of about 3 km distance from the main crater on the SW flank and 5 km away on the ENE flank.
