Mit aber auch ohne Ausbrüche lohnt es sich, dem Ätna eine eigene Tour zu widmen, um die faszinierende Vielfalt dieses außergewöhnlichen Vulkans kennenzulernen. Wir haben daher ein neues Reiseprogramm mit mittleren und anspruchsvollen Wanderungen rund um den Ätna aufgebaut und laden Sie ein, vom 2.-8. Etna volcano (Italy), eruption update: decreasing activity
Lava and ash emissions continue although at very low levels. The violent fissure eruption that started on May 13 from an originally 600 m long east-trending fissure parting from the NE base of the SE crater at around 2900 m elevation decreased surprisingly quickly in intensity. Etna volcano (Sicily, Italy) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 14 May-20 May 2008 (New Activity / Unrest)
INGV-CT reported continuous ash emission and periodic Strombolian activity from multiple vents, possibly along an E-trending fissure E of Etna's summit craters, during 10-19 May.
