Sa, 20. Okt 2012, 08:56Just before midnight on 19 October, strombolian activity resumed at the Bocca Nuova. The tremor started to pick up after midnight.
Etna volcano (Sicily (Italy)) activity update: Activity summary 2-6 Oct 2012, brief episode of strombolian activity in Bocca Nuova
Do, 18. Okt 2012, 10:05Osservatorio Etneo reported that on the evening of 2 October weak Strombolian activity resumed within Etna's Bocca Nuova crater, from the same vent on the SE part of the crater floor that was active in July and August 2012. Read all

Mo, 6. Aug 2012, 19:18Since Sunday morning, frequent ash emissions have been observed from Bocca Nuova. These are produced by ash venting and strombolian explosions from the cone in the eastern pit crater. During observations last night (5 Aug), strombolian activity was fluctuating between stronger and weaker phases on a roughly hourly rhythm.

Fr, 27. Jul 2012, 08:19Mild strombolian activity from an intracrater vent inside Bocca Nuova crater continues at fluctuating intensity. Last night, there were frequent explosions was accompanied by a relatively strong tremor signal and well visible on webcams. Read all

Fr, 29. Jun 2012, 09:23More than 2 months have passed since the last SE crater paroxysm and Etna has been very quiet lately. Last night, the tremor signal started to rise sharply, as typical during the onsets of the past paroxysm, but then dropped again, took another rise, and dropped back again.

Sa, 5. Mai 2012, 13:00Since about 2 hours ago, tremor from Etna has started to rise steeply, suggesting that the next (26th) paroxysm of the New SE crater is probably imminent. At the moment, visible observations are difficult due to cloud cover, but it could be expected that there is some strombolian activity right now from the crater. Read all
So, 29. Apr 2012, 10:04Since last night (28 April), new strombolian activity has been observed from Etna's New SE crater. With all likelihood, this announces another paroxysm to occur in the next few days. This would then be the 26th since 2011 when the series of eruptions began, or the 7th in 2012.
Mo, 23. Apr 2012, 20:1711 days following the last eruption, the 25th paroxysm of Etna's New SE crater is happening at the time of writing in the evening 23 April. It started around 16:00 hrs local time with week Strombolian explosions accompanied by a steeply increasing tremor.
Etna volcano (Sicily): new strombolian activity at the New SE crater - precursor of a new paroxysm in the next days?
Fr, 20. Apr 2012, 22:12Weak ash emissions from deep strombolian activity within the New SE crater has been observed since last evening (20 April). If the eruption patterns remains more or less the same, a new paroxysm is probably under way within the next days.
So, 15. Apr 2012, 14:40
Do, 12. Apr 2012, 16:01The 24th paroxysm occurred today at Etna's New SE crater. The main phase lasted between 16:30-17:15 local time and produced tall lava fountains and a lava flow.
Do, 12. Apr 2012, 08:51All signs point towards a new paroxysm at Etna's NSEC during the next hours: continuing strombolian activity, steeply rising tremor.
Mi, 11. Apr 2012, 07:30Strombolian activity has resumed at the New SE crater of Etna last night. Most likely, this is a precursor for a next paroxysm during the coming days.
So, 1. Apr 2012, 08:25What already had been becoming evident late last night, the 23rd paroxysm of Etna's New SE crater occurred early during the second half of the night to 1st April. Read all
