Aso volcano (central Kyushu, Japan): activity resumes at high levels

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that explosive activity from the active crater with near-constant grey-white plumes rose 2,624 ft (800 m) above the summit crater.

The seismic station records low internal tremor. The number of volcano-tectonic earthquakes continues at high levels.
Sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions reached to a 2,300 tonnes/day.
The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows could affect an area of about 1 km distance from the crater.
