09:04 AM | VON: T"No satellite images available after the time of the explosion, so uncertain if minor ash cloud generated, but unlikely.
"Similar such explosions may continue without warning, and may produce minor ash clouds that are not expected to extend much beyond the volcano, but could produce local fallout on the flanks of the volcano. AVO has received no reports of activity from local observers." (AVO/USGS)

There have been no explosions detected from Cleveland volcano since May 6, and there is no evidence for lava effusion since May 13. Weakly elevated surface temperatures detected in clear-weather satellite views are consistent with cooling of a newly emplaced lava flow. alles lesen

After the initial explosion 2 days ago, continuous small eruptions produced a steam and ash plume yesterday and decreased in intensity again today. A possible explosion occurred this morning at the volcano at 5:00AM AKDT (13:00 UTC) by AVO infrasound recorders. The infrasound signals suggest that this was a relatively short duration, low-level explosion. No eruption cloud has been detected in available satellite views.
