Dukono Vulkan: News und Updates zur Tätigkeit

Mi, 30 Apr 2014, 16:29
The currently intense phase of activity continues. More ash plumes, typically estimated at 8,000 ft (2.4 km) altitude and drifting up to 100 km SE were detected by VAAC Darwin.
Mo, 28 Apr 2014, 15:15
Ash plumes from (probably strong strombolian) explosions continue to be spotted on a more or less daily basis, suggesting that activity remains high.
Mo, 21 Apr 2014, 08:18
Explosions that are strong enough to leave ash plumes visible on satellite data continue to occur almost every day. This morning, VAAC Darwin reported an ash plume at 8,000 ft (2.4 km) altitude.
Fr, 18 Apr 2014, 07:41
Ash plumes from stronger explosions have become a more or less daily appearance in VAAC Darwin's reports of volcanic ash clouds. The volcano clearly is in an elevated state of activity at the moment.
Do, 17 Apr 2014, 16:14
Several ash plumes were observed during the past days, suggesting that explosive activity (probably strombolian-type) at the remote volcano remains elevated.
So, 13 Apr 2014, 07:42
Ash plumes from stronger (probably strombolian-type) explosions are regularly spotted on satellite imagery by VAAC Darwin. Read more...
Do, 10 Apr 2014, 16:38
Activity remains elevated. An ash plume was seen on satellite imagery drifting at estimated 6,000 ft (1.8 km) altitude 40 nautical miles to the E (VAAC Darwin) today.
Do, 27 Mär 2014, 18:01
Activity at the volcano continues to be intense. An ash plume was reported extending 80 nautical miles to the west at 10,000 ft (3 km) altitude this morning (VAAC Darwin).
Mo, 24 Mär 2014, 09:45
The volcano remains in elevated activity. Some of the (strombolian to vulcanian-type) explosions are strong enough to produce ash plumes spotted on satellite data. Yesterday evening and this morning, an ash plume could be seen drifting 50 nautical miles to the east.
Di, 18 Mär 2014, 18:07
Intense explosive activity, probably strombolian-type, continue at the volcano. Darwin VAAC reports ash plumes at 8,000 ft (2.4 km) altitude extending 80 nautical miles to the SW.
