Dukono Vulkan: News und Updates zur Tätigkeit

Dukono volcano (Halmahera, Indonesia) activity update

Donnerstag Feb 20, 2014 17:14 | VON: T

New ash plumes were spotted this morning by VAAC Darwin on satellite imagery. Ash clouds at approx. 7,000 ft (2.1 km) altitude drifted 80 nautical miles to the east. Probably strombolian activity seems to be relatively intense at the volcano.
Vorherige Nachrichten
Donnerstag, Feb 06, 2014
Low-level ash plumes continue to be detected on satellite imagery almost every day, suggesting that explosive activity (strombolian type) is currently intense. [mehr]
Sonntag, Feb 02, 2014
The volcano continues to produce frequent ash plumes detected on satellite imagery. Most likely, these originate from strong strombolian-type explosions. [mehr]
Freitag, Jan 31, 2014
More ash emissions occurred this morning. Satellite images show an ash plume extending 40 nautical miles (approx 70 km) to the east, at altitudes of around 7,000 ft (2 km). [mehr]
Mittwoch, Jan 29, 2014
New explosions produced an ash plume this morning rising to 12,000 ft (3.6 km) and drifting 40 nautical miles to the southeast (VAAC Darwin). [mehr]
Freitag, Jan 24, 2014
The volcano remains in a phase of elevated strombolian-vulcanian explosive activity. A new ash plume was spotted yesterday at estimated 10,000 ft (3 km) altitude extending 40 nautical miles to the east (VAAC Darwin). [mehr]
